Terms of Service
The rules for using this website and the terms on which we carry out work. Written to be read, because terms nobody understands protect nobody.
Acceptance
By using arlingtonheightsgaragedoorrepairs.com you accept these terms. By engaging Arlington Heights Garage Door Repair Solutions, 3261 N Ridge Ave, Arlington Heights, IL 60004, you accept the service terms below along with your signed estimate. Where the two differ, the signed document wins.
What this website is not
Everything on this site is general information about garage doors and how they fail. It is not a quotation, not a diagnosis of your door, and not a substitute for a technician looking at it. Counterbalance hardware stores enough energy to injure people badly, and DASMA calls springs the most dangerous part of a garage door. Nothing here encourages spring or cable work yourself.
Cost ranges and national averages quoted on this site come from third parties and are cited as context. They are not our prices and bind nobody.
All work is subject to a written estimate
No work begins until you have a written estimate and have agreed to it. The estimate describes the fault, the parts, the labor and the total. If a technician finds something that materially changes the scope, work stops and you get a revised written price first. You may decline at any point.
Your rights under Illinois law
The Illinois Home Repair and Remodeling Act, 815 ILCS 513, applies to our residential work. We comply as follows:
- Before any contract is signed you receive the state’s Home Repair: Know Your Consumer Rights pamphlet as a separate document, not a buried clause.
- On contracts over $1,000 we obtain your signed acknowledgment of receipt, and both parties keep a copy.
- A contract signed at your residence may be canceled within three business days, and section 22 extends that period if you are 65 or over.
- Where subcontractors are used you receive a sworn statement naming them and the amounts owed before final payment.
Workmanship warranty
What it covers
We warrant our own labor on the work described in your estimate. If a spring we wound is mis-set, a cable we fitted leaves a drum we seated, or an opener we installed was set up wrongly, we return and correct it at no charge.
What it does not cover
It does not cover pre-existing conditions elsewhere on the door, storm damage, vehicle impact, vandalism, or a door being forced. Nor components supplied or fitted by somebody else, nor damage from later adjustments by you or another contractor. Normal wear on rollers, seals and hinges is not a warranty matter.
Manufacturer parts
Parts we install carry whatever warranty their manufacturer provides, and nothing more. We tell you what that is where we know it, and will not invent a longer figure to close a sale. Our labor warranty and a parts warranty are separate and usually run for different periods.
Payment
Payment is due on completion unless the signed estimate sets a different schedule. On larger installations a deposit may be required and will be stated in writing first. Title to parts supplied remains with us until payment clears. On unpaid invoices we may charge reasonable recovery costs permitted by Illinois law.
Access and site safety
We need clear access to the door and the area beneath it, so move vehicles and anything else in the opening before we arrive, and keep children and pets out during work. Where a garage is unsafe — collapsing header, exposed wiring, structural damage — the technician may stop and explain why. Existing defects we did not cause remain yours.
Scheduling and cancellation
Appointment windows are estimates given in good faith. Weather, traffic and the job in front of yours affect them, and the IL-53 reconstruction has made some routes unpredictable into late 2026. If we will be late, we call. To cancel or move an appointment, call (224) 347-1816 as early as you can. Emergency call-out is subject to technician availability.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent Illinois law allows, our liability arising from work performed is limited to the amount you paid for that work. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses: loss of use of a vehicle, lost income, or damage to stored property not caused by our negligence. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Intellectual property
The text, photographs and layout of this site belong to Arlington Heights Garage Door Repair Solutions. Quote short passages with a link back. Wholesale copying onto another contractor’s website is not permitted, and we do check.
Links to other sites
We link to sources such as DASMA, the CPSC and the Village of Arlington Heights because they support specific claims. We do not control those sites or their privacy practices.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois. Any dispute arising from them or from work performed will be brought in the state or federal courts serving Cook County, Illinois.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version applying to your job is the one in force when you signed your estimate. This version is dated 25 August 2026.
