Privacy Policy
We are a garage door repair company, not a data business. This page explains what we collect, why, and how to get it deleted.
Who this policy is from
This policy covers Arlington Heights Garage Door Repair Solutions, 3261 N Ridge Ave, Arlington Heights, IL 60004, and arlingtonheightsgaragedoorrepairs.com. It applies to people who call us, email us, or simply read the site.
What we collect
Information you give us
Most of what we hold, you told us on the phone: your name, the address where the door is, a phone number, sometimes an email, and the job details — opener make and model, door size, what it was doing, what we replaced. If you pay us we hold a record of the transaction. We store no full card numbers, and nobody here will ask your date of birth to book a spring repair.
Information collected automatically
Like almost every website, ours records standard server log data when a page loads: IP address, browser and operating system, pages viewed, time of visit, referring page. Ordinary housekeeping. It tells us forty people read the spring repair page last Tuesday; not who they are.
Cookies and analytics
We use a small number of cookies and a third-party analytics service to see which pages people read and where the site is confusing. Analytics cookies record aggregate behavior, not identity. We run no advertising retargeting pixels.
How we use it
To schedule and carry out work. To call you back. To send an estimate, invoice or warranty record. To meet the record-keeping obligations that come with home repair contracts in Illinois. To keep the website working. That is the complete list.
We do not sell your personal information
We do not sell, rent, trade or hand over your personal information for money or marketing, and we do not add you to a mailing list because you called about a broken cable. If you receive marketing from anyone claiming to have got your details from us, tell us.
Third parties
A few outside services are involved in running the business and the site:
- Our website host and analytics provider, who process technical data such as IP addresses on our behalf to serve pages and produce aggregate traffic reports.
- Google Maps. The map on our contact and service area pages is embedded from Google, and when it loads Google may collect data under the Google Privacy Policy. That processing is Google’s, not ours.
- Payment processing, handled by a processor that holds card data under its own security standards.
- Suppliers, where a job needs one. If a door section is ordered to your address, the supplier gets delivery details and nothing more.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim.
How long we keep it
Job records, estimates, invoices and warranty documentation are kept while the warranty could reasonably be claimed and as long as tax and contract record-keeping requires — in practice, several years. Illinois home repair contracts carry their own obligations under 815 ILCS 513. Analytics data is aggregate. Enquiries that never became jobs are cleared periodically.
How we protect it
The site is served over HTTPS. Access to customer records is limited to Dale, Marisol and the technician on your job. Paper estimates and signed contracts are stored securely at N Ridge Ave. No system is perfect, but we do not collect data we do not need, which is the most effective protection there is.
Your choices
Cookies
Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies, per site if you want. Blocking ours will not break the pages. If you would rather not be counted in Google Analytics anywhere, Google publishes a browser opt-out add-on.
Do Not Track
Browsers can send a Do Not Track signal, but there is still no agreed standard for how a site should respond. We do not currently alter our behavior based on it. Since we run no advertising trackers, the practical difference is small.
Children’s privacy
This site is aimed at homeowners and businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, call and we will delete it.
Illinois residents
Illinois law gives residents specific protections around biometric identifiers and personal information held by businesses. We collect no biometric data: no fingerprints, no face scans, no voiceprints. You may ask what we hold and ask us to correct or delete it, and we will not treat you differently for asking.
How to reach us, or ask for deletion
Call (224) 347-1816 and ask for Marisol Reyes, or write to 3261 N Ridge Ave, Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Tell us what you want deleted. We will confirm what we hold, remove what we are not required to keep, and say plainly if something must stay on file. Details on our contact page; more on our about page.
Changes to this policy
If the way we handle information changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top is updated. This version is dated 25 August 2026. Material changes are flagged here rather than made quietly.
Elsewhere on the site: terms of service, garage door repair, broken spring repair, opener repair, coverage in Arlington Heights and Palatine, and the 30-day safety check.
Questions about your data, or about your door
Both get answered by a person on the same number. Ask for Marisol if it is about records.
